「Sunflower Village」
Japan’s largest sunflower field with 2 million blooming sunflowers🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
More than 200,000 tourists visit the “Sunflower Village” in Hokuryu Town every year. From mid-July to late August, about 2 million sunflowers bloom in the vast 23-hectare site, delighting the eyes of visitors. The sight of the gentle hills dyed in vibrant yellow is a spectacular sight, and on sunny days the yellow of the sunflowers stands out against the blue sky. There is also an observation deck overlooking the sunflower fields, and the view from the two-story observation deck near the parking lot is outstanding. A small observation deck a short distance away can be accessed by wheelchair users via a slope. The triple waterwheel in one corner is also a popular spot for taking commemorative photos. The sight of it spinning and splashing water is refreshing in the hot summer, and the pleasant sound of the water echoes around. The “Sunflower Soft Serve Ice Cream” mixed with sunflower seeds is also a must-try dessert.
